House Rules
The purpose of our house rules are to help us all work and play together happily and safely. They are available for children to see in our home. We will work with the children to ensure that they understand our house rules and why we have them. They are to ensure the safety of everyone in our home and to help the children learn to respect each other and other people’s property.

We take our shoes off once we have entered the house
We do not want to tread mud into the carpets and floors as this is where babies crawl and where we sit to play.
We treat the furniture with respect
This is to prevent children from falling off settees/chairs and hurting themselves and to learn to respect other people’s property and to use things for what they are designed for.
We look after toys and play with them correctly
We learn not to throw toys as throwing a toy could hit and hurt someone and/or break the toy.
We share toys and activities and help to tidy them away when we have finished with them
This is to avoid accidents and to show good manners and respect for other people’s property.
We treat other people how we would like to be treated
We learn good manners, we say please and thank you and we are nice to each other. We do not allow any hurtful behaviour either physically or verbally.
We all sit at the table or in our high chair to eat and drink
This is to prevent spills and choking accidents and to create a social atmosphere where children can learn good table manners.
